Safety Policy

The safety of our customers and staff is paramount at SuperKarts.
Any form of motor sport can be dangerous and this applies to karting.

To minimise the risk to you and our staff we have a strict safety policy which is summarised as follows:-

  1. All drivers have to wear a race suit and full face helmet - which we provide - although you may bring your own providing your helmet has a clear visor.

  2. All drivers under 16 years of age must wear a neck brace - which we provide. Older drivers can also wear neck braces if they are requested.

  3. Drivers under 16 are not allowed to drive in competitive events unless they have undertaken training with us and hold a Skids license or can prove similar training elsewhere. Such competitive events will only be those especially organised for under 16's.

  4. All drivers receive a full safety briefing before the event.

  5. All drivers must sign a disclaimer which also declares that they have not drunk alcohol or taken drugs prior to the event and that their eyesight is up to the standard required for driving a motor vehicle on the road.

  6. All drivers are advised to wear comfortable loose clothing and must wear closed shoes or trainers. Sandals or high-heeled shoes are not permitted.

  7. Any driver ignoring or not obeying signals from marshals is liable to a penalty and / or disqualification.

  8. If the race director considers that a driver is a danger to themselves and / or other drivers on the circuit, we reserve the right to disqualify that driver.

  9. All children's' parties and 'arrive and drive' are conducted with marshals / instructors on the circuit in karts to fully supervise.

  10. Our marshals are required to undertake first aid training.
